First-launch instructions
macOS Sonoma (14+) and later — double-clicking will hit a "could not verify" dialog. To get past it:
- Drag Huble Timeline to Applications, then double-click it from Applications.
- Click Done on the "could not verify" dialog (not Move to Trash).
- Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the Security section.
- Find "Huble Timeline was blocked from use..." and click Open Anyway (Touch ID / password to confirm).
- Re-open Huble Timeline. The next dialog has an Open button — click it. The app launches.
One-time per version. Future auto-updates skip this entirely (the in-app updater downloads + verifies signatures separately, doesn't trigger Gatekeeper).
Windows: Run the .msi. SmartScreen warns → More info → Run anyway.
The macOS bundle is ad-hoc-signed, not Apple-notarised — that's why the right-click step is needed. The Windows .msi is Tauri-signed for the in-app updater but not Authenticode-signed.
Once installed, the app auto-updates from timeline.san.is/releases/manifest.json on launch — subsequent versions arrive without revisiting this page.
